IPL is a gentle form of light therapy working on the same principle as lasers, where light energy is absorbed into specific target cells with colour in the skin (ie browns / reds). That light energy is then converted to heat and causes selective destruction and so removal of pigmented or red, or damaged skin cells. IPL also works to generally rejuvenate the skin gently.
